Aluminum alloy

Where there is a way to start a new future

Onse International is establishing a global network

network in the world market and establishing itself as a non-ferrous metal trader.

For the name of an alloy and its quality symbol, the U.S. company Alcoa's names are used; according to this system, "S" is added to all of the alloys for processing and two-digit numbers in front specify the system of an alloy.
However, in 1954, the Aluminum Association of the United States unified alloy number (AA Number).
This number consists of a four-digit number and the first digit on the left represents the following alloy system:

spare room type aluminium alloys can be divided into heat-treated type alloys (Al-Cu-based, Al-Mg-Si-based, and Al-Zn-based) and non-heat-treated type alloys (pure aluminum, Al-Mn-type, Al- Si-based, and Al-Mg-based).

Characteristics of heat-treated alloys

Characteristics of heat-treated alloys
A2017 (duralumin) and A2024 (super duralumin) are representative, and since they contain a relatively large amount of copper, their corrosion resistance is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to sufficiently treat them when exposed to a corrosive environment. Since the weldability is lower than other alloys, rivets, bolt joints, and resistance spot welding are mainly used for bonding

Al-Mg-Si (Al6000 based aluminum) alloy
These alloys are known as a representative structural material because of their good strength and corrosion resistance.
This type of alloy is resistant to strong machining and shows good machinability (A6061); A6063 has excellent extrudability and thus is used as a material for chassis.

Al-Zn (A7000 type aluminum) alloy
Al-Zn-Mg-Cu (A7075, super super duralumin), which has the highest strength among the aluminum alloys, and Al-Zn-Mg alloy (A7N01), which do not contain Cu, are representative. The A7075 is used in aircrafts and sporting goods and the A7N01 is used in railway vehicles for its excellent joint efficiency.

Non-heating type alloys

Pure aluminum (A1000 type aluminum)
A1000 aluminum has excellent processability, corrosion resistance and surface treatment, but it is not suitable for structural use because of its low strength.
Pure aluminum type is used in various fields such as household goods, disposable products, electric and electronic equipment because of its characteristics, and it is also used for name plates, reflectors, chemicals, food, industrial tanks, etc. because of its excellent film effect. In addition, it has excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, and is widely used as a material for transmission and discharge and a material for heat dissipation.

Al-Mn type (Al3000 type aluminum) alloys
A3003 is a representative alloy of the 3000 type, and the strength of pure aluminum is increased in this A3003 without decreasing the workability and corrosion resistance. It is also used for objects, building materials containers and so on because of its excellent elongation.

Al-Si type (A4000 type aluminum) alloys
There are 4032 and A4043 in this category. A4032 is a forged piston material. A4043 is used as welding wires and brazing materials because of low melting temperature. It is also used as a building exterior panel.

Al-Mg type (A5000 type aluminum) alloys
The ones with a relatively small amount of Mg (A5005) are used as decorative woods and object materials, and many of them are also used as structural materials. Therefore, there are many kinds of alloys; A5005, A5052 and A5083 are general.
In particular, A5083 has the strongest strength among non-heat treated alloys, and its weldability is also good. The A5000 type aluminum is stabilized in order to prevent it from aged deterioration, which shows a slight decrease in strength and an increase in the yield rate under normal conditions. The alloys of in this category are strong against polluted atmosphere in seawater or industrial zones.
